Glamour lovebirds Chris Judd and Rebecca Twigley have revealed that they are now engaged.

The AFL athlete popped the question to his beautiful girlfriend of six years while at Noosa this Monday night. The football star presented Twigley a lovely hand-crafted diamond ring.

The Carlton player revealed that he had hired the services of Melbourne jeweller Paul Bram and it had taken many weeks to create the ring.

Following Twigley’s series of commitments for Myer during Melbourne Cup week, the couple landed in Noosa on Monday, which is rumoured to be one of Judd’s favourite holiday destinations.

Judd proposed and presented Twigley with the diamond engagement ring that same evening.

The couple were seen celebrating their engagement at a classy Noosa restaurant.

Paul Connors, Judd’s manager, confirmed the engagement news yesterday.

The couple had initially met in Perth in 2002, when Judd was part of the West Coast Eagles. They waited more than a year before starting dating at the end of 2003.

Chris and Rebecca had been an item for 10 months when Twigley lived through her famed fashion instant as she was wearing in a long red gown at the 2004 Brownlow Medal event. The pair were the star couple of the gala evening since Judd had won the medal that evening.

They have still to schedule a wedding date.
