Jennifer Hawkins comes clean about nude photos
Jennifer Hawkins, the high profile representative of Australian retail giant finally broke her silence surrounding her controversial nude photo spread which appeared in the fashion magazine ‘Marie Claire’ which she claimed was only performed as a helpful and good will gesture for a eating disorder charitable organisation.
Ms Hawkins also said that she does not consider herself as a body image poster girl.
The glamour girl was recently the target of embarrassing comments coming straight from the top Myer in the person of Bernie Brookes, CEO, who claimed to have never been told about the nude photo shoot.
The former Miss Universe title holder said her nude shoot had not been done in the spirit publicity but rather to help out the Butterfly Foundation, which raises awareness about eating disorders.
She told reporters that the shoot’s outcome was far from what she had expected and that she felt that the situation had snowballed out of control. Her intentions, she said, had been to promote a healthy lifestyle with healthy eating habits.
The controversy apparently initiated by radio host Bianca Dye has she critisiced the magazine for seemingly featuring the young woman as a role model for perfect female body image.
